DOOKS

This is Akiko Morita's first collection of works in eight years, and her first publication with DOOKS. It is a collection of drawings she has made over the years. The title "METEORS at 3 a.m." is named after the time when she is most awake and working hard. The works share the same dynamic composition as her previous oil paintings, and the delicate and beautiful lines are a direct expression of her thoughts. The works also utilize the artist's studied visual perspective, and include the latest works painted specifically for this book, with the size, structure, and composition of a book in mind.

森田晶子の8年ぶりの作品集。DOOKSでは初めての出版となります。彼女が数年間に渡り、描いてきたドローイングを集めました。タイトル「METEORS at 3 a.m.」は、彼女が最も覚醒し制作に励む夜中の3時から名付けられています。今までのオイルペインティング作品とも共通した動きのある画面構成と、思考がダイレクトに現れた、繊細な美しい描線を見ることができます。また、作家の学んできた映像的な視点も活かされたものとなっており、本のサイズ、構造、構成を意識し、本書のために描かれた最新作も含まれます。
