DOOKS

Taiwanese photographer Yo yang's first photo book for DOOKS. She takes commercial photographs, but what does she photograph in her daily life? The fragmented images, some of which may or may not be photographs, combine with the scripture-like structure of the book to create a story (poem) that weaves horizontally and vertically, arranged like a timeline on a social networking site, speaking to us in a language that cannot be translated. I hope you will find it interesting to decipher what is hidden in the book.
台湾の写真家Yo yang（ヨウ‧ヤン）によるDOOKSでは初の写真集。商業写真を撮る彼女が、日常の中では何を撮るのか。写真かどうかもわからないものも含まれた断片的な複数のイメージが、経典のような本の構造も相まって、横へ縦へと織りなすストーリー（詩）を作り出している。SNSのタイムラインのように配列されることで、翻訳できない言葉で語りかけてくる。秘められたものを読み解くような面白さを感じて欲しい。
台灣的攝影師Yo Yang（楊雅淳）於DOOKS所發行之第一本攝影集。平時從事商業攝影的她在日常生活中所捕捉描繪的會是什麼樣的景象呢？本書採經摺裝，模擬經書裝幀方式，使許多不知是否能夠被定義為『照片』的片段層疊交織成一個故事、譜出一首詩。內頁像是社群網站上時間軸的編排，彷彿傾訴著難以輕易被翻譯或註解的語言。希望在翻閱此攝影集時，能夠讓讀者感受到像是在解謎般的探索樂趣。

Yo yang　楊雅淳
Fortographer. Graduated from Tama Art University, Institute of Art and Design, Taipei. She has participated in many collaborative art exhibitions and solo shows with Japanese graphic painting artists. Her art exhibition-related activities include the Tokyo Wonder Wall public exhibition in Japan, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's solo exhibition, the Ueno Museum's new graphic artist exhibition VOCA 2006, the Roppongi Street Mural in Tokyo, Tokyo Design Week, and art fairs in Beijing and Miami.
フォトグラファー。多摩美術大学芸術創造研究所卒業、台北在住。過去に日本のグラフィックペインティングアーティストとの多くのアート共同展覧会や個展に参加。日本の東京ワンダーウォール公募展、東京都庁個展、上野美術館の新しいグラフィックアーティスト展VOCA 2006、東京の六本木通り壁画、東京デザインウィーク、北京やマイアミでのアートフェアなど、アート展関連の活動を行っている。
日本多摩美術大學藝術創作研究所畢業，現居台北。過去在日本以平面繪畫藝術家參與多數藝術聯展以及個展，包含：日本的TOKYO wonder wall 公募展、東京都政府都廳個展、上野美術館新平面藝術家展VOCA 2006、東京都六本木街頭壁畫、東京設計週，以及北京和美國邁阿密的藝術博覽會等相關藝術展覽活動。
