Masashi Mihoya's first collection of works. The book contains a series of photograms created without the use of a camera, based on images printed on various product packages and fixed in a darkroom on photographic paper. 2015 - Produced by Masashi Mihoya, who has been working since 2015. The first series of photograms were produced without the use of a camera, and were created in the darkroom on photographic paper. The title is derived from the phrase "This photograph is an image", which is written on the package as a standard sentence. These seemingly unrecognizable images make us aware not only of the negatives of images that continue to be consumed in society, but also of the other side of photographic perception itself.

三保谷将史、初の作品集。様々な商品パッケージに印刷されたイメージ写真を元に、暗室で印画紙に定着させ、カメラを介さず制作されたフォトグラムシリーズを収録。2015年から制作。「※この写真はイメージです。」という、いわゆるパッケージに定型文として書かれた文言からタイトルはきている。一見して認識することの出来ないこれらの像は、社会の中で消費され続けるイメージのネガだけでなく、写真の知覚そのものの裏側へも意識を向けさせる。

Masashi Mihotani　三保谷 将史
Masashi Mihotani (b. 1987, Osaka) is a photographer and graduate of Visual Arts College Osaka’s Photography Department. His practice addresses ideas of awareness and perception, and in recent years has utilized everyday objects in place of film negatives to create color photograms. Initially self- taught, Mihotani has experience working in galleries and contemporary art facilities, and is a current part-time photography instructor at Kyoto University of the Arts and Visual Arts College Osaka. Among his numerous awards and publications, Mihotani was selected for the Japan Photo Award in 2018 by IMA Editorial Director Mutsuko Ota, and was shortlisted for the 2018 Benrido Hariban Award.
1987年、大阪生まれ。写真家。大阪ビジュアルアーツ写真学科夜間部卒業。視覚や認識についてを焦点に、近年は身近にありふれるものをネガとしたカラーフォトグラムによる作品を制作。独学で写真を学び始めたのち、ギャラリーや現代美術施工等の勤務経験を経て、現在は京都芸術大学、大阪ビジュアルアーツ両校の写真学科で非常勤講師を務める。受賞歴に2018年度JAPAN PHOTO AWARD（IMA エディトリアルディレクター 太田睦子氏 選）、便利堂 HARIBAN AWARD 2018ショートリストなど。
