The cover of a book can have a drawing, a picture, or just text. Before going through the book, first try to imagine what is inside by looking at the cover only. When you actually read it, you may be surprised to find that it is not what you had expected, or that it connects with the content at all - not every design is the right one. Just like how one perceives a drawing, the way you interpret the cover of a book will differ from person to person. Feel free to draw and create your own unique book cover. This is an opportunity to get interested in the contents of the book as well as it may change the way you look at the books in general.
本の表紙には絵があったり、写真があったり、文字だけのものなど、様々なものがあります。本の中身を読む前に、まずは表紙だけを見て色々と想像してみてください。実際に読んでみると意外と思っていたものとは違ったり、内容と繋がるものがあったりしますが、どのデザインも正解とは限りません。絵を見ることと同じように、本の表紙の感じ取り方は、人によって異なります。自由に自分だけの表紙を描いてみて、ブックカバーを作ります。これをきっかけにして本の内容にも興味を持ってみましょう。周囲の本の見え方も変わってくるかもしれません。
